Billabong High International School students participate in the community programme Together We Can Senior Students of Billabong High International School (BHIS) have taken up a great cause to change the life of the unprivileged students of Government School , Neelbad . The students are enthusiastic and will do every possible thing to make the students of the Government School at Neelbad exultant and delighted.

The students have divided themselves into four groups- Academicians, Administrators, House Keepers and Sports department. They all work relentlessly every monday for their respective departments and have meetings in the school to plan out the following weeks agenda and programme.

Billabong High International School, Bhopal always has believed in the holistic development of a child and community service has been a vital tool to achieve this. There are multiple benefits and gains from doing community service. It not only makes a difference to the organization being served, but also makes a difference to the students.
Psychological benefits include satisfaction, feeling good about yourself, and decreased stress and depression. Social benefits include engaging students with the community, creating special bonds with the population as well as increased social responsibility. Helping students enhance their knowledge, earn new experiences, and develop new skills are some of the Cognitive benefits.

Community service or volunteerism enables Billabong High International School students to acquire skills and knowledge as well as provide service to others that need it in some way.

Students of Grades 5 to 8, following the dictum, charity begins at home, conducted the community programme within the school premises. Equipped with brooms and cleaning material, students worked relentlessly to clean the school campus that included the soccer park, basketball courts, parking area, Adventure Park and the class-rooms. The cleaning was preceded by community lunch where students and teachers joined together in the foyer area to eat together.

The end of the day brought with it valuable lessons in humility and dignity of labour, making each one of us realize how hard the staff works to keep the school functioning smoothly.
