Education in Ireland readies the Indian students for their Irish Life

Students who enrolled into Irish Institutes for 2014-15 were introduced to the destination, lifestyle and opportunities that lie ahead in Ireland.

Education in Ireland, the government organization responsible for the development and growth of Ireland's Higher Education Sector in world markets, organize a pre-departure briefing and welcome for Indian students in Mumbai on 26th June, 2014.

The pre-departure briefing provided guidance as well as useful information about Ireland, helping the students who will be leaving soon for Ireland in order to join the new term in their respective Institutes. The event was aimed to better equip the students as they embark upon their new, and potentially life changing, adventure. The orientation covered important aspects about studying and living in the Ireland, further familiarizing and extending confidence to the parents as well as the students.

Representatives from Education in Ireland addressed the friendliness of the country, as well as the multitude of opportunities that lie ahead for the students.
Education in Ireland has initiated these pre-departure sessions to address any queries from students or parents on a one-to-one basis. The evening was jointly hosted by the Ambassador of Ireland H.E.  Felim McLaughlin, James Mackrill, Manager, Education in Ireland, India and Pat O'Riordan, Director India/South Asia, Enterprise Ireland ; who were seen engaging with the students discussing the plethora of opportunities for career advancement in Ireland.

Ambassador McLaughlin said, Education in Ireland has organized these pre-departure briefings to allow my colleagues and myself the valuable chance to meet the bright sparks from India that will contribute so much to student life in Ireland. Year on year we have noticed an increased interest in education opportunities from the Indian students choosing Irish institutes to extend their studies and most importantly enhance their employment.  We take pride in the innovative and entrepreneurial culture in Ireland and are happy that globally the youth are beginning to reap this for the future betterment of their own lives in enterprise, business and many other disciplines.
