Billabong High International School saw resonating with the sounds of ‘I have a dream’ – theme song at the culmination of Matilda.
Roald Dahl’s precocious character ‘Matilda’ created a flutter of excitement in the hallways of Billabong High International School. The children of grade 4 dramatized the story of the lovable prodigy, Matilda who took on the tyrannical Headmistress Trunchbull to provide justice for her teacher, Miss Honey. The audience was mesmerized by the true to form depiction of Ms Trunchbull - a woman severe as she was - and the miracle worker, Matilda.
The beautiful dance on the captivating song ‘I have a dream’ was the icing on the cake which gave the finishing touch to a heartfelt and touching performance. The culmination was in the form of children’s theatre and Grade 4 students excelled at, though doing theatre was a novel experience for them.
The enthusiastic response and the applause filled the halls of Billabong High as well as beaming smiles of proud Billabong parents who had tears in their eyes at the brilliant performances put up by their wards.
Ms. Sujata Lakhani, Principal, Billabong High International School motivated the children to put in their best. The overwhelming response of parents assured the success of the Culmination.
