Motherson Sumi spurts 3% after outlining Vision 2025; Expects revenue of $36B in next 5 year

The company expects $36B revenues in 2024-25 with 40% ROCE on a consolidated basis.

Motherson Sumi was in focus on Monday after the company laid out its Vision 2025. At around 1.32 pm, Motherson Sumi was trading at Rs144.20 per piece up 3.33%. The stock has gained over 5% with an intraday high of Rs146.30 per piece on Sensex.

Motherson Sumi in its vision 2025, highlighted that the company's focus will be on expanding into nascent geographies, new technologies in current products and addressing the broader mobility space (beyond PVs).

The company expects $36B revenues in 2024-25 with 40% ROCE on a consolidated basis. The company said, 75% of revenues from the automotive industry, 25% from new divisions. Also, the company states 40% of consolidated profit as dividend.

Notably, Motherson's liquidity position has been strong throughout the crisis. As of September 2020, the company's total liquidity stood at $1,576M higher from $1,329M as of June 2020.

In September 2020 quarter, the company recorded consolidated revenue of Rs14,957.21cr and profit of Rs337.58cr.
