Nitin Gadkari to inaugurate 16 highway projects worth Rs7,500cr in Uttar Pradesh today

The ministry said, these projects for inauguration and foundation laying carry a Road length of 505 kilometres, involving construction value of nearly Rs7500cr.

Union Minister for Road Transport, Highways and MSMEs  Nitin Gadkari to inaugurate 16 highway projects in Uttar Pradesh (UP) worth nearly Rs7,500cr anytime today.

In a PIB statement on Wednesday, the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways said, "These projects for inauguration and foundation laying carry a Road length of 505 kilometres, involving construction value of nearly Rs7500 crore. Paving the way for the development of Uttar Pradesh, these roads will enhance better connectivity, convenience and economic growth in the State."

Here are the details of some of the top valued highway projects which will be inaugurated today in UP:
  • Widening to 4-lane from Meerut to Bulandhshahar of NH-235 - Cost Rs2407.91cr.
  • Construction of 4-lane Gorakhpur bypass from JungalKaudiya of NH-24 to Kaleshwar on NH-27 - Cost Rs866cr.
  • Rehabilitation & Up-gradation to 4-lane of NH-96 from Pratapgarh to Prayagraj bypass in the district of Pratapgarh & Prayagraj - Cost Rs599.35cr.
  • Construction of 6-lane bridge parallels to the existing bridge on Ganga river on NH-96 in Phaphamau in the district of Prayagraj - Cost Rs1948.25cr.
