On this occasion, the vice chancellor of NMIMS, Dr Rajan Saxena presented the highlights of NMIMS journey to top-10 B-schools in India and also informed that this year 68000 students have appeared in the entrance test NMAT for just more than 600 seats and in that way NMAT has emerged as the largest MBA entrance test in India for any single institute.
SVKM’s NMIMS School of Business Management held the annual convocation for the students graduating from its NMIMS School of Business Management (SBM) in MBA programmes like MBA – Banking, MBA – Capital Market, MBA-HR, & MBA-Pharmaceutical Management at Mumbai campus on Saturday, 20th April, 2013. 619 students graduated and were conferred with Degrees in MBA programmes.

B.P.Sheth, Vice President, SVKM and mentor School of Business Management, NMIMS and nominee of the Honourable Chancellor conferred the degrees.
Harsh Mariwala was the Chief Guest for the event and addressed the graduating students, talking about preparing for corporate world. Mariwala while addressing the students said, “Everyone has a gift, identify your gift and be focused this will help you succeed in life. Being prepared and ready to take risks is what will help you, if you want to be successful entrepreneurs be ready to take risks because that is how you will learn”.
He added, “It’s the day when these students have arrived on a corporate scene and corporate India needs fresh minds like these because there is a talent shortage in India. The energy and enthusiasm amongst NMIMS students is outstanding and this is what corporate India requires right now”.
