The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) awards Manav Rachna International University as the ‘Best Private Upcoming University’ at The Education Excellence Awards 2013 held recently in New Delhi.
ASSOCHAM organized an International Conference on Excellence in Education to discuss the issues on how the quality of education can be enhanced. Here, 42 categories of awards were given to private Institutions including Schools from all corners of India.
The award for The Best Private Upcoming University was given to MRIU by Hon’ble Union Minister, HRD, Govt. of India Dr. M M Pallam Raju. He Said “MRIU has been chosen as one of the best Universities which is trying to meet the requirement of the industry. They focus on Skill Development and Quality Education”.
Highlighted the challenge of Quality Education, he said “As skill shortages and unemployable graduates still persist, there is a need to focus on developing strategies to improve quality in higher education”. He also said that we have nearly 600 Universities and about 33000 colleges in the country but a lot needs to be done to take the quality of education imparted to another level.
Col. V K Gaur, Executive Director & Advisor, MRIU received the award and said “Manav Rachna International University is trying to bridge the gap between Education and Employment. We nurture our students as true professionals who can serve the society at large”.
