All fall down! Byke Hospitality,Corporation Bank,14 other scrips hit 52-week low

The IT, metals and oil & gas stocks led the decline followed by banking, auto and energy stocks. The mid-cap index ended almost unchanged and small-cap index ended with marginal losses.

A total of 14 stocks touched a new 52-week low on the NSE are Birla Cotsyn (India), The Byke Hospitality, Castex Technologies, Corporation Bank, Indiabulls Wholesale Services, Indian Bank, Lincoln Pharmaceuticals, Nissan Copper, Shrenuj & Company Limited, Surana Industries Limited, Visesh Infotecnics.

The BSE Sensex opened at 25,765, touched an intra-day high of 25,589.51 and low of 25,482. It finally ended with a loss of 285 points at 25,519.

The NSE Nifty opened at 7,829 hitting a high of 7,836 and low of 7,754, before ending with a loss of 82 points at 7,762.

The India VIX (Volatility) index was up 1.95% to 14.4925.

Out of 1,770 stocks traded on the NSE, 816 declined and 714 advanced today.
