
Ashok Leyland, the manufacturer of commercial vehicles, has seen a phenomenal increase in their total vehicle sales, inclusive of exports, which have risen by a staggering 23% yoy to the number of 17,200 units in the month of January.
Company’s total vehicle sales have risen from the figure of 13,939 units in the corresponding period of the previous year, the company announced on Wednesday.
Domestic sales (M&HCV and LCV) were 16,198 units in the reporting month, a 27% increase from 12,709 units in January 2022.
M&HCV domestic sales were 10,108 vehicles in the previous month, representing a 34% increase over January 2022, when the company sold 7,561 units in the domestic market.
At the same time, LCV domestic sales increased 18% to 6,090 units in January, according to the company’s statement.
At around 10.06 AM, Ashok Leyland was trading 4.67% higher at Rs154.60, against the previous close of Rs147.70 on NSE. The counter touched an intraday high and low of Rs154.65 and Rs146.60 respectively.
