Asian markets close in red on gloomy Friday

Korean Kospi encountered heavy losses as the market closed 2.56% lower.

Asian markets witnessed bloodshed in the Friday trade with all the markets closed in the red.

Earlier the markets opened weak ahead of the weekend with rising Covid cases & very close US elections weighing on the investor's sentiments.

Korean Kospi encountered heavy losses as the market closed 2.56% lower.

Hong Kong's Hang Seng close ~2% lower and Japanese Nikkei 225 closed 1.5% lower while Straight Times and Taiwan Weighted
closed around 1% lower.

Chinese mainland markets Shanghai Composite and Set Composite also faced meltdown. Shanghai Composite closed ~1.5% lower while Set Composite finished around 0.5% lower.

Brent Crude Oil trades 0.50% higher at USD 37.84 per barrel.

Meanwhile, the Indian domestic indices closed bearish. BSE Sensex closed at 39,614.07 down 135.78 points or 0.34% and Nifty50 closed at 11,642.40 down 28.40 points or 0.24%.
