Chinese stocks closed mixed as the Shanghai Composite advanced 0.65% and the Shenzhen Component dipped marginally.
China’s Caixin/Markit manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index for August came in at 49.2 on Wednesday.
Further, European stocks advanced on Wednesday. The pan-European Stoxx 600 gained with retail stocks rose and basic resources slipped.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, the S&P 500 declined 0.13% to 4,522.68 while the Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 39.11 points to 35,360.73. The Nasdaq Composite dipped fractionally to about 15,259.24.
