Cheviot restricts operations in its manufacturing units and offices to 50% of the total strength

The decision has been taken by the company in accordance with the West Bengal Govt. May 5 order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 outbreak.

Cheviot Company Limited informed the exchanges Friday that the operations in manufacturing units and other offices of the company have been restricted to 50% of the total strength.

“In accordance with the order dated May 5, 2021, issued by the Government of West Bengal to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and measures against the current COVID pandemic, the operations in manufacturing units and other offices of the company have been restricted to 50% of the total strength till further notice,” company said.

It further added, at this stage, the impact of the above force majeure condition is not ascertainable. The duration of the restriction imposed for the operations in our manufacturing units is uncertain and will depend upon stabilization of the overall scenario and further directives of the Central Government/ State Government.

Cheviot Company Ltd trade on Friday ended at Rs769 per piece down by Rs8.6 or 1.11% from its previous closing of Rs777.60 per piece on the BSE.
