Fortis Healthcare inaugurates 250-bedded second multi-specialty hospital in Chennai

The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru Edappadi K. Palaniswami today inaugurated the 250-bedded multispeciality Fortis Hospital in Vadapalani. This is Fortis Healthcare Limited's second multi-speciality hospital in the Chennai city.

Fortis informed the exchanges Monday that its Hospital in Vadapalani is 9-level building covering an area of 150,000 square feet and is designed to provide world-class healthcare services to the public of India.

Fortis Healthcare is one of the largest integrated healthcare service providers in the country that is now part of a leading international healthcare provider – IHH Healthcare Berhad.

“Fortis Hospital, Vadapalani provides a state-of-the-art emergency department, modern surgical services, advanced diagnostic imaging, ambulatory clinics and intensive care beds. Other specialized services include Cardiology, Nephrology, Orthopaedics, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Emergency and Internal Medicine,” K. Palaniswami, said.

Fortis Healthcare closed at Rs125.35 down by Rs1.2 or 0.95% from its previous closing of Rs126.55 on the BSE.
