The country's largest insurer has sought a month's time to respond to the show-cause notice

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) has issued a show-cause notice to Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) for allegedly misleading the public through advertisement.

The IRDA has questioned the relevance of certain LIC advertisements that had the catch line -- 'last time to buy your favourite product'.
