Jyothy Labs revenue declined by 24.2% in March 2020 quarter

Jyothy Labs announced its quarter earnings for FY20 with net profit of Rs 23 cr

Jyothy Labs Ltd a multi-brand, FMCG company primarily engaged in manufacturing and marketing of fabric whiteners, soaps, detergents, etc. reported the quarterly results on 5th June. On a standalone, Jyothy Labs reported a 24.2% decline in its revenue from operations which stood at Rs382.29cr for January-March quarter as against Rs504.29cr a year ago same quarter.

EBITDA saw a decline of 51.4% in Q4FY20 to Rs40.16cr as against Rs82.58cr in Q4FY19. EBITDA Margin declined to 10.5% from 16.4% a year ago, a decrease of 587bps. Profit before tax (PBT) in the Q4FY20 stood at Rs19.64cr, down by 72.3% from Rs70.86cr in Q4FY-19. PBT Margin decreased by 8.66% and were reported at 5.1% and 13.7% for quarter ending March-2020 and March-2019.

Net profit for the latest quarter was reported at Rs26.03cr as against Rs67.05cr in Q4FY19. A drop of 61.2% yoy. PAT Margin decreased by 6.27% to 6.7% from 13% in Q4FY19.

Coming to the segmental revenue of the company, revenue of Fabric care segment fell by 17.2% yoy. It stood at Rs15574cr as against Rs18815cr a quarter earlier.

Jyothy Labs’ Dishwashing segment revenue for the quarter ending March 2020, came at Rs12705cr, a decline of 21.4% compared to previous year's Q4 performance.

The stock closed at Rs117.45 in today’s trade with a gain of 6.82%.
