Marksans Pharma Limited on Monday has issued a voluntary recall of one batch of Metformin Extended-Release Tablets USP 500 mg (11279 bottles, Lot No. XP9004) due to detection of NOMA as a matter of abundant precaution.

Metformin Extended-Release Tablets USP500 mg is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve blood glucose control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.

The stock is currently trading at Rs32.40, up by Rs0.6 or 1.89% from its previous closing of Rs31.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs33.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs33.35 and Rs30.25 respectively.
