The private sector mutual funds reported net inflows of Rs. 336.76 billion in May

Mutual funds saw a net inflow of Rs. 374.35 billion in May 2013 as compared to a net outflow of Rs. 1.06 trillion in April, according to SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) data.

The private sector mutual funds reported net inflows of Rs. 336.76 billion in May, while public sector mutual funds saw inflow of Rs. 37.59 billion.

During April 2013, private sector mutual funds registered net inflows of Rs. 844.22 billion whereas public sector mutual funds saw inflow of Rs. 221.52 billion.

In the financial year 2013-14 so far, mutual funds net mobilised Rs. 1.44 trillion as compared to Rs. 1.19 trillion mobilised in corresponding period of 2012-13.

The market value of assets under management stood at Rs. 8.68 trillion as on May 31, 2013 as compared to Rs. 8.25 trillion as on April 30, 2013, indicating an increase of 5.2%.
