On a broader view, the consumer durables index is trading on a higher note driven by heavyweights Relaxo, Havells and other major stocks despite volatile markets trend.
At around 10:35 AM, BSE Sensex was trading at 59,117.65 up 112.38 points or 0.19% and Nifty50 at 17,585.20 up 23.20 points or 0.13%.
Nifty Consumer Durables was trading at 26,649.20 up 108.25 points or 0.41%, after touching a high of 26,769.50 and low of 26,561 during intraday trade on Wednesday.
Relaxo led the gains at Rs1,175.35 per piece, up 1.84% to emerge as the top gainer. Havells India continued to move upwards by selling 1.69% higher at Rs1,435 per piece.
Blue Star gained 1.58% at Rs846.20 per piece to lift performance while Kajaria Ceramics and Voltas surged 1.39% and 1.24% respectively. Recently, index major Kajaria Ceramics launched royal collection of tiles in Jammu & Kashmir state.
Whirlpool also advanced 0.82%. TTK Prestige and Bata India were also around 0.7% higher each. Orient Electric and V Guard gained over 0.5% while Amber Enterprises also traded in the green to add some marginal gains.
However, Rajesh Exports and Titan Company shed 0.23% each while Dixon and Crompton Greaves also were marginally lower.
