Nifty FMCG tops 510 pts amid bullish markets; Heavyweights Emami, HUL, Britannia, Nestle top bulls

Tata Consumer and Procter & Gamble Hygiene were the only underperformers on the index.

Nifty FMCG was trading in the green amid bullish markets. Heavyweights Emami, Britannia lead the charge. Hindustan Unilever, VBL, Jubilant Food and Nestle stocks were also upbeat to drive the sectorial gains. 

Tata Consumer and Procter & Gamble Hygiene were the only underperformers on the index.
At around 11:37 AM, Nifty FMCG was trading at 34,328.55 up 510.10 points or 1.51%. The index has touched a high of 34,435.90 and low of 33,981.25 during intraday trade on Tuesday. 

Emami was the top bull surging 3.48% and trading at Rs487.25 per piece. Britannia also gained 2.69%. 

Hindustan Unilever and VBL were in the fast lane surging by 2.49% and 2.38% respectively.

Jubilant and Nestle led the way with 2.30% and 2.03% gains respectively.

Stocks like Marico, Dabur, Colgate Palmolive and Godrej Consumer Products climbed between 1.5-2%. ITC and Mcdowell advanced nearly 1% each.

UBL was trading on a flat note whereas Procter & Gamble Hygiene and Tata Consumer were only losers shredding over 0.5%.
