Sobha advanced over 3% to lift the performance, while Sunteck continued to remain under pressure.
On the sectoral front, IT and metal indices up 1% each, while some selling is seen in the pharma and FMCG indices. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices are also trading higher. The quarterly earnings are also playing on the minds of the investors.
At around 11:15 AM, Nifty Realty was trading at 393.95 up 2.75 points or 0.70%, after touching a high of 395.60 and low of 392.45 during intraday trade.
Sobha surged over 3.3% at Rs594 per piece to lead the sectorial gains. Oberoi Realty advanced nearly 2% at Rs712.95 per piece.
Indiabulls Real Estate, Prestige and Phoenix gained between 1-1.5% to support the sector.
Heavyweight Godrej, DLF were marginally higher while Hemisphere Properties was trading flat.
Brigade dragged the most while Sunteck was also under selling pressure on Thursday. After bullish session on Wednesday, Brigade dropped 0.43% at Rs324.95 per piece while Sobha lost 0.38% at Rs376.55 per piece.
