Oriental Insurance cancels covers of 3 IPL players

The three players were insured for a personal accident insurance policy, medical insurance policy and baggage insurance

Oriental Insurance on Tuesday has cancelled the insurance covers given to three IPL (Indian Premier League) players, according to a media report.

After IPL franchise–Rajasthan Royals terminated the contract with the three players, the insurer also cancelled its cover, the report added.

The three players were insured for a personal accident insurance policy, medical insurance policy and baggage insurance.

The three players—S Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan—were arrested last week on charges of spot-fixing in the ongoing IPL matches.
