Power Grid gets Ministry nod to monetise assets in SPVs

The company can undertake monetization of its tariff based Competitive Bidding assets held in Special Purpose Vehicle(s), through Infrastructure Investment Trust.

Power Ministry has given approval to monetise Power Grid Corporation of India Limited’s tariff based competitive bidding assets held in Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), through Infrastructure Investment Trust.

“Ministry of Power has conveyed that the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has given approval to undertake monetization of Power Grid's tariff based competitive bidding assets held in Special Purpose Vehicle(s), through Infrastructure Investment Trust,” Power Grid informed the exchanges on Thursday. 


Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd ended at Rs168.60, down by Rs3.3 or 1.92% from its previous closing of Rs171.90 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs171.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs171.55 and Rs167.95 respectively.
