Religare Enterprises calls buzz related to RBI rejecting Religare Finvest's proposal for rename as "factually incorrect"; Stock climbs

Religare Enterprises Limited issued a clarification with regards to the news item “RBI rejects Religare Finvest's proposal to rename itself” published in today’s edition of ‘The Economic Times’. The company called the news story “factually incorrect and speculative in nature”.

“The news story is factually incorrect on various counts and speculative in nature including the headline which in itself is factually untrue,” the company said in a filing on Thursday.

As per the news item in Economic Times, The Reserve Bank of India rejected Religare Finvest Ltd's proposal to rename itself Care Financial Services and declined to new management status to the existing management.

At around 12.12 pm, Religare Enterprises Ltd was trading at Rs139.05 per piece up by Rs1.75 or 1.27% from its previous closing of Rs137.30 per piece on the BSE.
