Rural Infrastructure spend has been substantially increased from Rs 11 lakh cr to Rs 14.34 lakh cr. This is a rise of 30.3% yoy.
Rural infra will include spending on roads, habitation, sanitation, agriculture connectivity and utilities such as electricity, gas connection etc.
Considering that this is the last full budget of the current government and FY19 is an election year, the rise in rural infrastrucutre is in-line with the market expectation.
L&T is up by 2.1%, Ashoka Buildcon is up by 1.18%, Omaxe Ltd is up by 0.63% and Brigade Enterprise is up by 1.30% at 13.02am on BSE.
