SBI records fraud worth Rs7,951.29cr in Apr-Dec: Media report

The bank shared data with RTI on February 25.

State Bank of India (SBI) noted ~Rs7,951.29cr involving 1,885 cases of fraudulent activities for the nine months of FY19, a PTI report stated.

As per the report, the bank in an RTI reply stated that the 1st quarter of FY19 reported 669 cases of fraudulent activities amounting to Rs723.06cr, the 2nd quarter saw 660 cases involving Rs4,832.42cr and the 3rd quarter reported 556 cases amounting to Rs2,395.81cr.

The bank shared data with RTI on February 25, the report added.
State Bank of India's share price ended at Rs267.25, up by Rs0.95 or 0.36%, from its previous close of Rs266.30 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs267.30 and touched a high and low of Rs272.50 and Rs266.50, respectively. A total of, 2,17,46,070 (NSE+BSE) shares have traded on the counter. The current market cap of the company is Rs2,38,510.24cr.
