Senvion SE wins 172 MW order in Portugal

Senvion will deliver and install 84 of its turbines for five projects in Portugal.

As per news reports, the German unit of Suzlon Energy Ltd., Senvion SE, has bagged order for 172 MW wind turbines for power plant projects in Portugal.

The customer, Ancora Wind - Energia Eolica SA has a significant in the wind energy market. The contract with Senvion is to deliver and install 84 of its turbines for five projects in Portugal.

Senvion will supply 21 machines each to the Moimenta I and II farms, 11 turbines to the Picos Vale do Chao project, 19 units to the Tres Marcos plant and 12 turbines to the Sernancelhe wind farm, the report added. The company also won 20-year service contracts for maintaining the plants.
