Shanthi Gears informs partial disruption in factories amid Covid lockdown guidelines

The Company is monitoring the situation for taking timely action based on the guidance from the Governments and the authorities.

Shanthi Gears Limited has informed that there is a partial/small disruption in the factories due to shortage of manpower and supply of Raw Materials during the period of covid lockdown.

The duration of the disruption of the factories will be for two weeks as can be foreseen at present and a resumption would depend on an improvementin the situation in the State and lifting of the lockdown.

In view of the widespread resurgence of the COVID -19 virus resulting in a serious pandemic situation, the Government of Tamil Nadu has enforced a total lockdown in the State from 10th May 2021 to 24th May, 2021.

Considering the seriousness of the pandemic situation, the Company is taking various measures to ensure the health and safety of its employees and to comply with the directives regularly being issued by the Central and the State Government besides the local authorities.

Further, the Company is monitoring the situation for taking timely action based on the guidance from the Governments and the authorities.

On Tuesday morning trade, Shanthi Gears was currently trading at Rs141 per piece down by Rs6.5 or 4.41% on Sensex.
