Star Paper Mills stock gains 1.5% despite damage in Saharanpur plant due to recent storm

The company had earlier suspended production at the plant in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Star Paper Mills Limited informed the exchanges Wednesday that during the recent storm-like condition/rainfall, a part of the roof of one of its plants in the Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) building collapsed.

“An insurance claim has been lodged and clearing/removal of debris has commenced. Damage to underlying equipment, if any, will be possible to be assessed only after clearing/removal of debris.

The company had earlier suspended production at Saharanpur plant in the wake of Covid-19 pandemic. Production remains suspended in the plant.

At around 10.17 AM, Star Paper Mills Ltd was trading at Rs147.35 per piece up by Rs2.05 or 1.41% from its previous closing of Rs145.30 per piece on the BSE.
