With onion prices in the wholesale markets of Maharashtra and elsewhere dropping to Rs 6-7 a kg, the government abolished the minimum export price (MEP).

Pressing for withdrawal of 5% duty on export of iron ore pellets, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said the levy will discourage shipments of value-added products. (ET)
