What not to miss today

Here are the important news to watch out for today.

-Markets to open positive; SGX Nifty is 21 points up at 11758. 

-Nifty finds support around 11648, while 11761 will act as resistance. Bank Nifty finds support around 29919, while 30350 will act as resistance.

-In yesterday’s trading session FIIs bought 713 crores worth of stock in cash whereas DIIs bought 581 crores worth of stock. In the derivative market, FIIs sold 222 crores of Index futures and bought 1293 crores worth of Index options. 

-Asian markets up, US down marginally amid profit booking ahead of earnings. Asian markets opened in the green led by the Japanese Nikkei, which held onto big gains of yesterday and saw some more gains in early trade today. US stocks close with marginal losses as traders book profit ahead of earnings season. 

-India's March trade deficit at $10.89bn, aided by rise in exports.

-Polycab India to be listed today.

-Bright Star Investments, Smaller Cap World Fund buys stake in Metropolis Healthcare.

-Shriram Properties gets Sebi nod for IPO.

-Prestige Estates buys balance 51% share in Babji Realtors Private through subsidiary company for Rs364cr.

-Syndicate Bank cuts MCLR rate by 5bps across all tenures.

-Lakshmi Vilas Bank to allot near 5% shares to Indiabulls Housing Finance.

-Cipla’s subsidiary in USA signs agreement with Pulmatrix to develop and commercialise asthma drug Pulmazole.

-Goldman Sachs downgrades IDFC First Bank, hikes TP to Rs74 on PNB, to Rs437 on LIC Housing, to Rs492 on ICICI Bank.

-Hathway Cable Q4FY19 PAT at Rs212.7cr vs Rs12.6cr, revenue down 9.1% yoy.

-Results today: Wipro, Mastek, 5paisa Capital, Den Networks, Northern Projects.
