In an interaction with Shweta Papriwal, Editor, indiainfoline.com, Sanjeev Singhai, Founder of Wellnesssta said, "Covid-19 has compelled consumers to look for ways and means which has less physical contact. Consumers now want ease and don't want to wait in a Q for their turn". 

Can you please tell us about Wellnessta and what inspired you to come up with this unique idea which can be reckoned as India's first Wellness-Tech?
Like Uber, Wellnessta was also born out of my personal experience. In July 2018, I had a stiff neck and was trying to book a Spa, and didn't find a platform to compare and book online. That's when I got the idea to create a marketplace for the personal grooming, fitness and wellness industry. Wellnessta will serve to Beauty Salon, Spa, Gyms, Yoga Classes, Meditation Centres and Naturopathy service providers and will offer online bookings to these vendors.
What is your take on wellness market in India amidst and post the covid-19 crisis?
Covid-19 has wholly changed the wellness industry. Before this, the experience was the most critical factor in selecting the outlet, but due to Covid19, the consumer concerns have changed from just selecting an outlet that offers good service to selecting an outlet that follows all safety and hygiene protocols. Covid-19 has compelled consumers to look for ways and means which has less physical contact. Consumers now want ease and don't want to wait in a Q for their turn.
Also, revenues at the Service Providers level has fallen drastically and they are under tremendous pressure to find new ways of getting business. The need for Online Bookings has never been this dire at the vendor level. We have not yet launched our consumer website but 600+ vendors have already registered their business on Wellnessta. So, now technology is gushing its way in the personal grooming, fitness and wellness sector.
We believe these shifts are irreversible and have changed the industry forever. We expect consumers will continue to seek convenience and hygiene moving forward. 
Can you please elaborate on your advanced SaaS based cloud platform technology and how does it function?
We conceived and developed Wellnessta using the latest technologies and best practices. We want to modernize and digitize the small vendors with scheduling and appointment management, coupon management, inventory & expense management and payroll management software. Wellnessta will allow service providers to run their business more efficiently and offer better service to their customers. These all are SaaS offerings that we provide at a fraction of existing software costs.
More so ever, Wellnessta SaaS offering also works as B2C booking platform for vendors as it's integrated with payment gateway, customer call center and customer ticketing system. So it's a win-win both ways for service providers; they manage their business efficiently, get new customers and offer best customer support to consumers.
How well service vendors are adapting your platform/app ? What are the problems you're facing while educating them about your very new Technological driven concept?
We opened the Vendor registrations on 13th Nov and in the last 2.5-month, appx. 650 vendors have registered with us and many vendors have opted for a paid subscription even before the User Website/ App or commercial launch of the Wellnessta. This shows the usefulness which vendors see in Wellnessta. It's a very heartening response for us. We have keen interest from a few large and well-known chain of service providers in Salon and Spa space and are taking discussions with us. It would be hard for us to disclose the names as we respect their confidentiality.
Building a new category is always a tough job for marketers, as user adaptation initially is always slow and the same is the case with us. Our Inbound and Outbound Call Centre and on-ground Sales Team are well trained for hand-holding and onboarding vendors. They are focusing more on the training of vendors to drive the adaptation. 
Did Wellnessta raise any sort of funding yet ? If  Yes, then can you elaborate on the same AND If No, then are you planning to raise any?
We are a self-funded project since 2018. We wish to establish this new business model first. Post early launch period, we will look deeper into data and market response. Once we have trends, probably then to scale up, we may look for external funding.
What is your orientations towards the growth of Wellnessta in coming years?
We are currently focusing all our efforts on Mumbai though vendors from All India who have initiated their registrations. Our next stop will be Pune and Chandigarh. In the second phase, we will launch Wellnessta in the remaining top metros and create a strong foothold by the end of the year.
