Hindustan Copper Ltd reported a sharp increase in its margins for Q2FY19. Revenue in the quarter fell 1.3% yoy to Rs469cr. EBITDA stood at Rs133cr, up 64.4% yoy. EBIDTA margin rose 1,130bps to 28.3%. Net profit stood at Rs35.3cr for Q2FY19, an increase of 23.4% yoy.
- Employee costs fell 9% yoy to Rs79.7cr in Q2FY19.
- Finance costs rose sharply to Rs10.9cr in Q2FY19 against Rs4.7cr in Q2FY18. This is due to the ongoing expansion in production.
- Tax rate for H1FY19 stood at 35.2% against a tax rate of 34.6% in FY18.
