Manipal Global launches PGPBM program in association with IIM-Indore

As the world rapidly moves from the Industrial Age to a Services based one, the customer is increasingly spoilt for choice. With hundreds of companies offering similar services and packages, the only way to gain and retain customers is by managing customer experience. Yet although our business schools offer hundreds of programs in product, price, and promotion management, no academic institution in India offers a course devoted to customer experience management.

To fill this massive gap, Manipal Global Education Services (MaGE) has launched the Institute of Customer Experience Management (ICEM), a first of its kind institute in India which offers an MBA equivalent Post Graduate Program in Business Management focused solely on customer experience management.

The program, designed in collaboration with IIM Indore and Service Quality (SQ) Centre Pte Ltd Singapore, an international management consulting and training company, aims to equip students with a superior service experience mindset. The general management module of the program has been designed and is delivered by IIM Indore. ICEM students also get the opportunity to visit the IIM Indore Campus for two weeks as a part of the program.

The program is aimed at creating professionals specifically for the growing services sector. Today the service sector offers bigger and better career opportunity world over. A major portion of the course involves managing live customer contact channels and internships for up to 12 weeks in leading companies, thereby guaranteeing excellent placement opportunities to successful students. With a variety of specializations according to service industry verticals, ICEM students are rigorously trained in general management and exposed to practical applications of customer management skills, measurement of customer experience and lifetime value maximization. A theory and practical ratio of 35: 65 ensures that a student is guaranteed to be job ready at the end of the course.

The 15-month PG in Business Management program has 12 months of theory, industry workshop and hands on learning followed by three months of internship. This program offers specialisations in Banking and Financial Services, Analytics and Retail. ICEM has an exclusive partnership with Harvard Business School for case studies and study material resource.
