Syniverse to provide mobile messaging for Cleartrips travel customers

Syniverse announced a new multiyear contract renewal with Cleartrip, one of the leading online travel companies in India, to provide text-message confirmations for Cleartrip customers who purchase tickets or book reservations on the companys travel portal. Under the agreement, Syniverse will use its Mobile Enterprise Services to provide a robust messaging delivery platform to help Cleartrip enhance its customer engagement by serving customers with immediate transaction confirmations.

When customers register on the Cleartrip app or website, they can choose to receive text-message alerts to get a confirmation of a transaction each time they purchase a ticket or book a reservation on the Cleartrip portal. The text alert is automatically triggered to be sent with a high level of reliability and security immediately following each purchase.

Cleartrip is dedicated to making travel simple, and text messaging offers one of the simplest but most effective mobile channels, with 90 percent of text messages getting read within three minutes of delivery, according to Forbes, said Sanjeev Sridharan, Vice President Software Engineering, Cleartrip. Working with Syniverse, we will optimize our customer experience and ensure our customers receive the highest level of service by receiving immediate, secure and reliably delivered confirmations of their purchases.

And in 2012, the company announced its efforts to power Vodafone Indias Messaging Hub. Syniverse also continues to support the Government of Indias Department of Telecom mobile number portability initiative in Zone 1 across 11 circles, including New Delhi and Mumbai.
