EU expects growth, but alerts risks from energy

European Commission alerted that the economic recovery may depend in part on the ongoing crisis over Ukraine

The European Commission on Monday said that the economy is expected to recover. However any major disturbance to oil & gas supplies would have a negative impact.
The European Commission said that Europe's economic recovery started a year ago. It expects real gross domestic product to grow 1.6% this year and accelerate to 2% next year.
However, European Commission alerted that the economic recovery may depend in part on the ongoing crisis over Ukraine.
European commission warned that "Should further rising tensions with Russia lead to major disruptions in oil and gas supplies with a sharp rise in prices, the negative impact on a number of Member states could be sizeable."
