MFs report net outflow of Rs. 1.09 trillion in March

Private sector mutual funds reported outflow of Rs. 84,559 crore in March 2014

During March 2014, mutual funds saw a net outflow of Rs. 1.09 trillion as compared to a net inflow of Rs. 3,403 crore in February 2014, according to SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) data.
Private sector mutual funds reported outflow of Rs. 84,559 crore in March 2014, while public sector mutual funds saw outflow of Rs. 24,692 crore.
private sector mutual funds registered net inflow of Rs. 2,231 crore, whereas public sector mutual funds saw inflow of Rs. 1,171 crore in February 2014.
During the financial year 2013-14, mutual funds net mobilised Rs. 53,783 crore as compared to Rs. 76.539 crore mobilized in 2012-13. The market value of assets under management stood at Rs. 8,25,240 crore as on March, 31 2014 as compared to Rs. 9,16,393 crore as on February 28, 2014, indicating decrease of 9.9 percent.
