Nifty Consumer Durables records new all-time high; Index surges 500 pts as Titan, Bata India, Voltas hit new 52-week highs

Rajesh Exports, Amber, Crompton Greaves and Whirlpool were top losers in the sector.

Indian equity benchmarks started this week on a bullish note as market players expects better quarterly earnings with sales and demand witnessing significant improvement due to festive season. The Index followed bullish trend to scale new high of 30,892.40. Among sectors, Nifty Consumer Durables index along with metal, realty, and financial sectors climbs 1-2% to extend the opening gains of the market. 
Besides, consumer durables firms said they witnessed better-than-expected demand trends backed by positive customer sentiment and added that they expect this momentum to continue over the next two weeks, leading up to Diwali.

At around 10:45 AM, the Nifty Consumer Durables was trading at 30,812.30 up 527.70 points or 1.74% on Monday.

In terms of gains, the index lead the charts by heavyweights Titan, Bata India and Voltas hitting fresh 52-week highs.

Titan surged more than 3.5% at Rs2,658.25 per piece to lead the bulls while Dixon followed with 2% gain. Bata India and Voltas also reached new highs at Rs2,161 per piece and Rs1,347 per piece respectively. Dixon Tech also touches new peak after its subsidiary gets nod under PLI scheme of Govt of India.  

Relaxo was doing well as it zoomed by 1.55%. Stocks like TTK Prestige, Kajaria Ceramics, V Guard and Havells were also in the fast lane to lift the index while Orient Electric and Blue Star were marginally higher.

However, on the flip side, Rajesh Exports, Amber, Crompton Greaves and Whirlpool were top losers in the sector. Rajesh Exports tumbled more than 1% to emerge as the top loser while other scrips were marginally down to drag the sector a little.
