This report confirms that climate change is affecting Americans in every region of the U.S. and key sectors of the national economy.

The Obama Administration on Tuesday unveiled the Third U.S. National Climate Assessment.
This report confirms that climate change is affecting Americans in every region of the U.S. and key sectors of the national economy.
The report, a key deliverable of President Obama's Climate Action Plan, is the most comprehensive and authoritative scientific report ever generated about climate changes that are happening now in the U.S. and further changes that we can expect to see throughout this century.
The Third National Climate Assessment was developed over four years by hundreds of the Nation’s top climate scientists and technical experts, guided by a 60-member Federal Advisory Committee, and informed by extensive input from the public and outside organizations gathered through town hall meetings, public comment opportunities, and technical workshops across the country.
Flooded rail lines, bigger and more frequent droughts, and a rash of wildfires are predictions in a White House climate change report.
"Climate change, once considered an issue for a distant future, has moved firmly into the present," the National Climate Assessment says, adding that the evidence of man-made climate change "continues to strengthen" and that "impacts are increasing across the country."
