At 10:56AM, BSE Sensex is trading down 48 points at 25,179, while S&P Nifty is trading down 17 points at 7,525.
BSE Mid-cap is down 0.78% at 8,866, while BSE Small-cap is down 0.84% at 9,593.
Some buying activity is seen in the IT, FMCG and healthcare sectors on BSE, while sectors such as capital goods, banking, realty and power are losing sheen.
The bias is turning weak following the escalation of violence in Iraq. How crude oil prices behave in the coming days will be of concern world over with expectations of Brent topping US$116 a barrel. During the week Janet Yellens views will be of interest as the Federal Reserve's Open Markets Committee meets on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Mahindra Lifespaces will be in action today as Anand Mahindra announces a strategic initiative by the company.
