Shree Renuka Sugar rises after Haldia refinery to resume operations

The Haldia refinery can refine up to 2000 tons of raw sugar per day, it added.

Shares of Shree Renuka Sugars closed higher on Thursday on the stock exchanges. The company said that it will commence operations at its port-based refinery at Haldia (West Bengal) in the first half of October 2020.

“Pursuant to Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations & Disclosure Requirements) Regulations 2015, we hereby wish to inform you that the Company will be commencing operations at its port-based refinery at Haldia (West Bengal) in the first half of October 2020, subject to receipt of all regulatory approvals,” the company said.

The Haldia refinery can refine up to 2000 tons of raw sugar per day, it added.

The stock ended at Rs9.10 up by Rs0.14 or 1.56% from its previous closing of Rs8.96 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs9.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs9.25 and Rs9.01 respectively.
