UK Sinha to address CAPAM, FCCI's capital market conference on 15th

FICCI is organizing the 10th edition of its Capital Markets Conference viz. CAPAM 2013 on Friday, 15th November at Hotel ITC Grand Central, Parel, Mumbai.

The theme of the Conference is ‘The Changing Regulatory Paradigm and the Road Ahead’.
CAPAM is a leading event in the Indian capital market space and provides an excellent platform to discuss and debate key issues pertaining to the sector.

Mr. U. K. Sinha, Chairman, SEBI will deliver the inaugural address at the conference.
Mr Ashok Chawla, Chairman, Competition Commission of India; Mr. Ramesh Abhishek, Chairman, Forward Markets Commission; Justice B. N. Srikrishna, Chairman, FSLRC;Mr. Rajeev Kumar Agarwal, Whole-Time Member, SEBI; Mr. R. Gandhi, Executive Director, RBI; Dr. C. K. G. Nair, Adviser (Capital Markets), Ministry of Finance andMr. Santosh Shukla, Joint Legal Adviser, SEBI are some of the key speakers who will address the industry participants at the Conference.
CAPAM 2013 is being held at an opportune time, when there have been various recent changes and reforms in the financial sector. It aims to analyse some of these changes and reforms, the opportunities and challenges they would present for different stakeholders and to explore the way forward to widen and deepen the Indian capital markets. The deliberations would focus on various topics such asFinancial Markets (Equity, Bond, Commodity & Currency), Asset Managementand Regulatory Changes in Capital Markets (SEBI regulations, competition issues, Companies Act). One of the key highlights of this year’s Conference is a session on ‘Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission (FSLRC) and its Recommendations.’

This session will discuss and debate some of the key recommendations made by the Commission towards revamping the entire financial legislative framework of India. For the first time ever, at CAPAM 2013, we will see regulators, academicians and industry representatives participating as panelists on a session on FSLRC. The discussions are likely to go beyond just analyzing the impact of the recently enacted and proposed regulations on the Indian capital markets and would delve into possible solutions to some of the challenges that may also arise.

On the occasion, the SEBI Chairman would also release a publication titled ‘The Experts’ Voice’ on the Conference theme ‘The Changing Regulatory Paradigm and the Road Ahead’
