Investor sentiment weakened after US President Donald Trump's proposed tariffs on imported generic medicines, escalating US-Iran tensions, rising Brent crude oil prices, a weaker rupee, and heavy selling in banking, pharma and IT stocks. Despite the broader market weakness, Bajaj Auto and Nestlé India gained on the back of strong Q1 FY27 earnings.
