INDIAPISTONS-REPCO LIMITED ANNUAL REPORT 2004-2005 MANAGEMENT DISCUSSION AND ANALYSIS Production and Sales: The Ring Gears Production Quantity and Sales Turnover during the year were 6,90,538 Nos. and Rs. 1094.75 lakhs respectively as against 5,14,146 Nos. and Rs. 758.61 lakhs respectively during the previous year. During the year under review, the Passenger Car, Commercial Vehicles and Light Commercial Vehicles segments registered a significant growth and the Company had responded well to the increased requirements. In the Tractor segment too there was considerable improvement and the Company catered to the increased requirements. On the Export front, the Company has consolidated its position by holding on to the existing customers and improved its performance by adding new customer base in USA and Mexico and has witnessed a substantial growth in this segment. The prospects to further improve the presence in the Domestic and Export Markets is continuously addressed by the Company and steps are being taken to increase the capacity. While the impact of the increased capacity has already started, with the machinery that have been ordered, the Company is expected to further augment the capacity and meet the increased demand in all segments.
