THE RAJENDRA COFFEES LIMITED ANNUAL REPORT 2007-2008 MANAGEMENT DISCUSSION AND ANALYSIS Working: The Price of Coffee during the year showed an upward trend and the Company realised reasonably good prices. Your Directors feel that the working results for the year ended 31-3-2008 have been good. Crop: The Crop realised for the season under review was 104 tonnes of Robusta and40 tonnes of Arabica as against 117 tonnes of Robusta and 45 tonnes of Arabica realised during the previous season. The Estate of the Company is maintained in good condition. Estimated Crop: The Coffee Crop estimated for the year 2008-2009 is 120 tonnes Robusta and 50 tonnes Arabica. As the main activity of the Company is Plantation, the question of conservation of Energy, Technology absorption will not arise. The Company exported Two containers of Coffee directly during the year and earned Foreign Exchange of Rs. 30,61,741/- [Rs. 12,51,068/-] General: Your Directors have pleasure to express their appreciation for the efficiency and devotion to duty of the Officers, Staff and Workers of the Company. Board: In accordance with the provisions of the Companies Act and the Articles of Association of the Company Mr. M.C. Chandy and Mr. Shaji Philip, Directors retire by rotation and being eligible offer themselves for re-election. Information desired in part IV to Schedule VI of the Companies Act 1956 by Notification No GSR 388 (E) dated 15th May 1995 issued by the Ministry of Law, Justice and Company Affairs, New Delhi is appended to the accounts for the year.
