THE MYSORE STONEWARE PIPES AND POTTERIES LIMITED ANNUAL REPORT 2009-2010 MANAGEMENT DISCUSSION AND ANALYSIS OPERATIONS: As you can observe there was an increase in total income by Rs. 124.34 lakhs, mainly due to clay sales and other income. Due to the construction of the tunnel kiln and consequent dislocation of production during II half of the year, the production was less by 229 tons. The company has earned a surplus of Rs. 9.43 lakhs as against a loss of Rs. 0.68 lakhs in the previous year. In order to meet the growing demand for pipes, we have taken up expansion of production capacity by installing Imported II hand German machinery in the current year. The newly started Tunnel Kiln which was commissioned in the 4th quarter of the year is working satisfactorily. As a result we hope there will be substantial increase in production and Profit in the coming years.
